The goal of the design was to create a lively, efficient and flexible work environment for around 20 employees, as well as interns and volunteers of Eurasia Partnership Foundation. The work style of the Foundation’s office led the design team to come up with unorthodox office furniture and equipment layout, incorporating portable personal workstations, instead of stationary office desks and a white glass panel made along the wall, etc.
The space easily transforms into different layouts with folding doors. A small, but open space lounge/kitchenette space is also available for employees and visitors to make business interactions more social.
The Media Center adjacent to the office has a general meeting/conference room equipped with a simultaneous translation booth, transformable furniture, audio/visual and lighting equipment, audio/video recording facilities; a studio/multimedia room; offices/information center area with mobile and/or transformable furniture; a library/lounge area; a kitchen suitable for providing small banquettes and staff use are planned for the new space.
The project was implemented in cooperation with architect Sevada Petrossian (co-author).
